The month of November is a month spent being thankful. At APCGI we are thankful for many blessings that the Lord has showered us with.
We are thankful for our 50 and over and Saints. On Nov. 3rd the Youth Department and Young Married Couples honored APCGI Pillars with our annual Saints Appreciation Dinner. This dinner has evolved over its 30 plus years of celebration to include a Thanksgiving feast with all of the trimings. Thank you to everyone that made this dinner a success and highlight of the year. We are extremely thankful for our elders and their leadership.
APCGI hosted the annual United Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. "Women of Impact" Ladies Conference. This year's conference encouraged women to be an impact in their family; professional life and spiritual walk. Sis. Lia Matthews and Sis. Micaleah Sanchez headlined the conference as they shared the impact of the Lord on there lives. Thank you to everyone that attended including our new venders for this year. We can not forget the amazing work by the APCGI brothers who helpd serve and clean up after service on Friday. We can not wait to see everyone again at Ladies Conference 2019.
On Nov. 11th we set aside service to honor and thank our military Veterans and there families. We honor there bravery and sacrafice both at a time of war and peace. To our men and woman both in the past and present, THANK YOU for your dedication and service to our nation.
It was with a sad heart, but also a time of thankfulness that many of us remembered the life of Bro. Charles Ready. Bro. Charlie passed away Nov. 16th. Everyone at APCGI has a memory of Bro. Charlie. He brought joy and laughter to several of us on so many occasions. He will be truely missed for his love for the Lord and his continued prayers for everyone that he loved. Our hearts are sadden, but we are thankful for the life that Bro. Charlie lived for the Lord.
We continued the month of November with our Family Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 17th. Thank you to everyone that helped prepare a dish and clean. It was a blessing to see so many family and friends join APCGI in a time of celebration in this Thanksgiving season.
APCGI is thankful not just in November, but all year round for God's blessings. The song states, "There's a roof up above me, I've a good place to sleep. There's food on my table, and shoes on my feet. You gave me your love Lord and a fine family. Thank you Lord for your blessings on me." APCGI is thankful for ALL the Lord has and will continue to do.
